Forget about Sex and the City. Watch True Blood TV show online, the HBO unabashedly sexual series. This show centers on Sookie Stackhouse [Ana Paquin], a telepathic waitress who works at Merlotte's in the fictional town of Bon Temps, Louisiana.

True Blood centers on Sookie Stackhouse [Ana Paquin], a telepathic waitress who lives in Bon Temps, Louisiana. Sookie is an outsider looking in until her path crosses that of Bill Campton [Stephen Moyer], a 173-year old vampire she falls in love with. Add to the murky brew the serial murders of several human women known to have affairs with vampires.

Show creator Allan Ball is credited with making the dead appear glamorous in Six Feet Under. Ball, however, gave full reign to his death fixation by injecting True Blood with life-infusing sex, not only sex but carnal and oftentimes animalistic sex. One of these involved Sookie and Bill making out in the middle of a graveyard, which viewers can watch when they download True Blood online.

True Blood is peopled by colorful characters. Sookie may be a gifted telepath but her brother Jason [Ryan Kwanten] is the local Lothario who in Season One was accused of murder. The diner where she works, Merlotte's, hums with the voices of Lafayette [Nelsan Ellis], the cook who also part-times as Jason's gay drug pusher; Tara, Sookie's bestfriend who was involved in a bizarre exorcism rite; and Sam Merlotte, Sookie's boss, who also happens to be a shape-shifter.

While out looking out for a material on his new series, Ball came across Dead Until Dark, the first installment in Harris' vampire series. This was pre-Twilight, but Ball became excited in bringing Harris' vision to the small screen.

The books had two other adaptation options when Ball approached their author. But in the end, Harris chose to work with him because she liked his enthusiasm and felt that Ball understood what she was doing with the books.

When the series premiered in September 2008, True Blood garnered a very modest 1.44 million viewers. By November, however, this figure jumped to 6.8 million a week, which included repeat and on-demand viewings. The series is now HBO's most popular series since The Sopranos and Sex and the City.

Now rivaling the popularity of two other HBO-produced TV series, The Sopranos and Sex and the City, True Blood is the new IT in cable shows. Sex definitely sells in it. It is worth your investment if you will watch True Blood TV show online.
